can anyone tell me about these lamps? Although the prisms are very pretty I thinks these lamps are hideous. My boyfriend thinks they are just beautiful.

Ha-ha -- thanks, but no thanks.
I'd try switching the shades - you might like them then -- more Hollywood Regency style -- or just save the prisms, and out with the lamps.
