Hi Nana
This is a Victorian Lustre Kersosene Lamp. During the 19th century, lighting was at a premium so the wealthy used lamps such as these with the lustres catching the ambient light from the shade and dispersing it around the room in effect giving them 3 or 4 times the light with only one appliance. What a great piece with a classic Victorian rose design which was so popular during the 19th century
