I have always loved Victorian silverplate-- baskets, tazzas, trays, etc...
And they are really inexpensive in most cases (or I don't buy).
This particular basket has a beautiful grape, vine and leaf decoration that includes the base and handle.
The basket was made by the "Rogers, Smith and Co." out of "Hartford Conn" and is numbered "1864".
