Bonnie MacLean created numerous colorful posters for Fillmore shows in 1967. This postcard based on the poster that advertised a string of shows from July 18-23 is of my favorites. While MacLean did not usually borrow from Pacific Northwest Coastal Native-American imagery, I'm sure glad she did on this one.
Sam & Dave were the headliners, supported by Fillmore favorite James Cotton, with Country Joe and the Fish opening Tues-Thurs and the Loading Zone doing those honors Fri-Sun. All around, just a beautiful piece of art—makes me want to listen to "Soothe Me" and "Soul Man."
