Ok - so I bought this at auction purely because it intrigued me. Absolutely no idea what it is. I'll do my best to describe:
27" high, a brass hexagonal container with handle. 4 clip-on smaller containers (3 with hinged covers) that clip onto top of 'thing'.
5 of the side panels are glazed, and the 6th has two hinged doors to allow access to inside.
Internally there's a shelf (one of shelf brackets broken hence not shown) Inside, there's a base compartment that is accessed via a hinged 'door' (see images)
There are decorative piercings on the 'thing'. Absolutely no marks to suggest origin. Has not got an 'ancient' feel to it - if I was to guess i'd say 60-100 years old.
Any clues ????????????????????? I'd be so grateful
