This is a Vet Bring back from the Vietnam War, and that Vet was my Father, although he’s been gone for over 20 years and I really don’t remember anything about him since he passed away when I was 3
I still do have a few things from him, that I consider my inheritance
This Vietnam Counting Stick happens to be one of those few treasured Items.

From what I’ve heard these were used by Solders towards the end of the war, where each solider would break off a portion of the Stick as a way of Counting down the Days until he was to Leave, my father Obviously Never broke his and it has been in a Curio Cabinet for as long as I could remember.

Thanks for looking and if anyone has any comments or information
please feel free to post.
Best Regards
