There were several Smile Bottling Companies in the 1920's. I am only familiar with the one in Bethlehem, PA

have one with a paper lable and full. they had syrup in them. the bigger bottles had soda in them. 1-5$ double to triple that for the full ones with a nice cap and the paper lable.

From what I could find they contained orange flavored soda. We recently dug one up while digging to get to my basement drain. So we did some research.

I bought 2 Smile Soda bottles today. These were bottled in Glenmora, Louisiana. They were patented on July 11, 1922.
