Awesome 1933 Coke sign I rescued from some bushes of a boarded up drive in. (Obtained legally from the owner of the property.) I was looking to get it possibly restored. Can anyone help me with the current value and what it might be worth if restored. Or is it best just to leave in present condition. Thanks

A ton of "character" on it just the way it is. It'll look pretty good with a good cleaning and waxing. Glad you rescued it!!
Agree with Tommy. It'll cost you more money than it's worth to restore this porcelain sign. Keep the bullet holes. Keep it as it is. Just give it a good soap scrubbing. This sign is full of character. Who knows who might've shot up this sign? Maybe some famous gangster.... Restored signs or anything for that matter, removes the history and character. Leave it alone. (And check out inside the Drive-In. Who knows what else you could find!)
Thank for the advice. However I do not know what to use on the sign. I am afraid of removing the color or damaging it even more. You said give it a good cleaning what kind of soap and material to clean with? Thanks
Awesome piece as is!! I love the curb service panel. Very cool :)
This is a porcelain sign. You won't do any damage to it. Use dish washing liquid soap, a soft sponge or a soft wash cloth. It should clean up nice.
My kinda sign good job
I just found one of these, Cool sign.
Yes, this is the way I clean all my signs. Soapy warm water works very well but if you are very careful, you can also use some Bar Keeper's Friend too. I can't tell how many times I have removed the brownish staining around those bullet holes, in the white lettering. It's pretty amazing stuff but it DOES work if you're CAREFUL and don't rush! I would be proud to own that myself.
