I believe these may be some photos from World War 1. Not really sure. Any help would be awesome. Anyone know who this is addressed to? This is really interesting! One of the guys in the first picture looks like Enver Pasha because of the mustache. Thanks again! Hope you like these..

It looks like part of the annotation is "am Tigris" - so I believe the location is Iraq, which was part of the Ottoman empire at the start of WWI. The British landed at Basra in 1914, and captured Baghdad in 1917.
The first part of the text is definitely in German - "Aufnehme von..." which I think means sent from. Can't make out the middle words!
