I found this piece and one other off of an old Coke cooler (suspect it was a cooler anyway or maybe a machine). The pieces were severely rusted around the edges and were curved (why I assume cooler). I used my band saw to cut off the rough edges that had rusted through and was able to then paint these. I had to hammer out the curve to get the opener flat against mounting boards. The one without the opener is on my son's bedroom wall, while this one is in my cave. I think the re-purposing of this worked out well, I paid $10 for the two pieces. I especially liked that they came from Arkansas City, Kansas. I am originally from Kansas and found these in a junk shop here in my town in Virginia.
