This is one of my favorite items from my medical collection. It was given to me as a gift by a friend who has been a picker for many years. This is a complete 12 pack of individually packed catgut sutures each in their own sterile glass vial. They are "unaffected by age, climate, or light" so I guess could still be used....no thanks! It is by the Davis and Geck company. I am unsure of the exact year but the patent date was 1919. You know we really need a "medical" category on this site :)
