Looks like Creta Norma to me. Norma is a mini papillon decor. Creta of course means green.
Look at the Norma I posted earlier.

Creta is a type of green, This is vaseline glass. Norma is a decor quite distinct from Papillon. Your vase is really a type of vaseline. Graound: Olympia, decor: "melon rind" Ciselé (My term. See my website).

thanks Alfredo so much.. ive seen the olympias and the Ciselé on your site before but never thought that what i had espially Loetzbuddies said it looked like a creta norma papillon.. i then went back to your website and revisited the olympia and the Ciselé.. i dont see the blue oil spot as i do on mine..??

Hi Nicole, Yes this it what mine really looks like without the flash.. i need to take better pics of my Cisele' without flash..have to visit my parents today so i will do it tomorrow..

the piece from your link is not a norma.. its a cisele'
  31. czechman czechman, 2 years ago
if it is a norma..then i was told wrong on what mine is..which i doubt because Alfredo told me mine was Olympia Cisele and i trust Al... because its exactly the same as my four handled pinched vase's decor... mine is as you see in pics uranium which i was told was uncomman and special :)

Well, I'm definitely not getting in the middle of a discussion on proper nomenclature!! However, as we know yours is rare, and you hadn't seen anything else quite like it, I thought you might want to take a look. Interestingly the piece I linked to belongs to famatta127 - Mr T. He's normally pretty good on nomenclature ... Maybe he'll drop by with a view, and let us know if his is uranium too.

And it looks even more splendid. Absolutely beautiful!
  35. czechman czechman, 2 years ago
thank you nicole.. wouldnt you say it;s the same decor and ground as tony's piece from the link you sent?
  36. Londonloetzlearner Londonloetzlearner, 2 years ago
To my untrained eye, yes, they definitely look the same. But neither look like straight "melon rind" cisele to me ... based on what I've seen and the small piece I own. I've not yet really got to the bottom of Norma ...

the whole delphi thing is very confusing. (to me) in general it seems. Looking around on the new loetz.com site I think they're doing a great job of providing explanations. To stay out of trouble I think I want to go back and do all my pieces as iridescent with blue tones and leave it at that. LOL
  38. Greatsnowyowl Greatsnowyowl, 2 years ago
I was talking about over the term Delphi in general not this piece. LOL sorry.
  39. Greatsnowyowl Greatsnowyowl, 2 years ago
There are a lot of different explanations out there as to what exactly delphi is.
