I collect ADVERTISING TAPE-MEASURES Group 1

Years ago my wife and I lived in an upstairs one bedroom apartment in Dallas Texas. We went to flea-markets, garage sales and auctions and began collecting things. She collected sewing items and I collected advertising items. They naturally had to be small. I collected printers type case trays and hung them on the wall as shadow boxes and collected items that fit in them and look good in them. One of those items I collected was Advertising Tape Measures. I loved the variety of advertisers and the variety of colors and graphics. I will first post 3 groupings of them, and then post most of them individually.

Common makers are Lufkin and Masters. Most of the best of the celluloid ones are by Parisian Novelty Company of Chicago.
