This doll was given to my mom in the late 1940's. He is composition and is 7 1/2 inches tall. He originally had a top hat. He looks like a groom doll, but also resembles some of the film stars from that time period. His tuxedo has tails and is made of felt with satin lapels and ribbon up the side of the pants legs. He has jointed arms, but his legs are frozen in place. His shoes, face, and hair are all painted on. Any other information you may have about this doll would be appreciated.

He is made as a groom and likely had a girl bride with him at one time . From about 1940-1950. The doll is dressed in style of Victorian age with mustache and tails but he is not that old . He is cute but really has very little retail value in today's market . If he had his bride maybe as some people collect bride and groom dolls and cake toppers he would bring a little better price . He is also most likely to have been made in USA . Hope this helps and sorry he was not a real valuable doll but if you love him just enjoy him on a shelf :-) Thanks for sharing him

Thanks for the information. I didn't think he was worth a lot of money, but he is cute!
