My first statue I purchased from a dealer who had brought a container of furniture from England in the 1980's. I had gone in and the dealer told me it was on hold for the head of the library, and my heart sank. I went into his store the next day and convinced the dealer, Denny, that I was the person who it was meant to be with. My heart never healed until I had it
in my home, about 3 days after I first saw it !!~
Silvered Bronze by Carvin, who specialized mainly in animals in the early 1920's. The base in particular to me was the deco masterpiece. It was made up of Brown and Black Marbles, strips of Green Onyx, and fan shaped Chrome, which you can see in the bottom right of base. Approx 25 inches long. Signed in 2 places.
I also bought a Wrought Iron console for the statue, from Denny also, shortly after I bought the statue.
