When I did this photo, I just scanned an old photo and will have to find the original negative to redo it properly when I do find it. Here is a photo of a setup I decorated my first multiple apartments in 3 different cities that I started a book business in during 1985 across western Canada. I was able to find 3 sets of Norman Bell Geddes 1940's chairs and couch sets to use and I had painted my own pictures to save money on decoration. The chairs were easy for me to find at the time, as a lot of institutions, police stations, etc. were getting rid of the old and replacing with the new. The chairs were of square formed tubing shapes that were
stronger than regular round tubing. Because I moved around those 3 cities all the time I had to find places to stay at. The chairs were art deco, low, strong and very comfortable to sit in. I worked very hard those years from 1985 to 1998 when I finally closed my Bookstore business, and yet, I always seemed to find time to do so much and have a great night life also. The stamina you find when you are young, seems to be a myth when you grow old and cannot believe what strength you had in the past. !!~

The other 2 pictures were large pictures that I had made for the apartments. I was using these homes also at the time to sell a bunch of auction finds, lamps I reworked, photographs and painted work that I all sold to make a living. I always had several jobs it seemed !

Yes, but if you go thru my photos you see other ashtrays and lamps made by Metalcraft in Toronto also. I used to sell out of my home in the 80's and had a lot of clients for the ashtrays and the lamps.
