the stein is well over a hundred years old that can be traced it says "ein volles glas des gastes spass" under tha handle it has the year on it "1803" it one of the oldes ive actually seen u can tell by way finish his tiny hairline cracks in tha finish and tell the lid deck was all hand made by detail and tool and file marks would like to know a somewhat value and this isent some of the late 1900th centry knock offs or replication just wanna know some more bout it where its from who made it history so please if u dont know then dont reply serious inquaries only thanks, Rick

I have a stien that is almost identical to this one, but it has an 1802 date on it, and it does not have as much color, I cant find out anything about it
Nice stein. It looks like a middle 20th century.
The date marking is probably representative of the scene date as opposed to the manufacture date.
What is the marking on the bottom-- I cannot decipher it.
