This is a guitar a nursing home was throwing away and I took it instead. A harmony made in the USA was woundering how old and what it could be worth any help please the guitar is steamed S43 44536972

    This is a 1943 or 1944 Harmony archtop. Probably Cremona model. You can tell by the wooden tailpiece that was used during WWII because of rationing of steel and other metals. You'll also notice that the tuner gears are all steel instead of brass. I recently restored one of these and it plays and sounds great. If you look in the guitar you may find a number ink stamped F or S and a two digit number following it indicating year. Cool old guitar and probably worth 250-350 in playing condition
