vintagemad, I love your Shirley Temple book so I thought i will share this with you and every one else. Do you know what Authorized Edition means? are there other copies out there with out the Autorized Edition? Is this collectile?
This a 1936 Authorized Edition No. 1716.THE SAALFIELD PUB CO
Akron, Ohio New York Made In U.S.A
Registered at Stationers Hall.
This is a very vibrant color cover of Shirley Temple and for its age it is in good shape. I kept it paper bag as long as I could remember.

Thank you, BELLIN68
She is cute :)
thanks for sharing brat
Shirley Temple had to approve anything done about her or any item that referred to her . Some companies stole her look and did not name it Shirley Temple but it resembled her so much it was hard not to know it was her . Dolls were made but she had an exclusive with Ideal Toy to do her likeness in dolls but there are version by Japan and other companies . In Later years Shirley approved like Danbury Mint and a few others to make dolls in her likeness. I would guess that books may have been bootlegged like dolls . Her Books don't sell real high .Love it !
Thanks, everyone
