a) fulfill a well-laid table needs: a glass for liquor, a glass for wine, a glass for water
b) the shape of the glasses evolves from that of the small one, so each glass includes the shape of the smaller glasses in the range, and thus they're stackable
c) they can be used also as meassure cups for 10dl, 20 dl. and 30dl.
