I purchased this at an auction that was selling quality antiques and vintage items but I don't know anything about it in terms of technique (is cutwork correct?) or age. To give a sense of size, it's laying on a double bed in the photos (and draped over a chair at the end - not my best photo set up!). Any help would be greatly received.

Or maybe it's a tablecloth?
we referred to this as Battenburg Lace.
Thank you. That's actually where I started with my research and I believe you're correct!
