Jewelry that me very intriguing are the so-called mourning jewelry. This pendant is one of the examples of this kind of jewelry.
Rose gold mourning pendant with the festoons and the inititals TMS of the deceaced written in little flowers made of hair with very little pearls in the heart of the flowers. Beautifully executed with a hallmark (Dutch; so called Oak Leaf 1852-1906 for 14K). Measurements: Length incl. mounting bail 5 cm and width 2.2 cm.

Exquisite and extra-ordinary like the rest of your jewels! At a glance, I would never have thought your pendant's center design was done in hair, it's so very fine. The tiniest of pearls touches my heart too... And your woven blonde hair brooch with the faceted jets? or onyx? is so beautiful with its rich gold setting -- so glittery and bright for a mourning jewel. Thank you for sharing!
