I love these, got them at auction today, sadly there is some damage to the back, but i dont care, it made them affordable to me! no marks on them, anyone throw any light on maker? are they genuine or copies? they are very large, i havent measured them yet, but id say at least a foot tall, maybe 14"

Hi Lundy, thanks,my heart skipped a beat when i saw them, and i thought they were gong to be way too much for me, but, due to the crackat the back{one leg} it was very affordable, well i paid £32.00 only! i have seen one identical on google, but for the base, mine is very thin, the one i saw had more of a plinth base.Maybe mine is a copy? it sure does look old,its deffo not new, could be a mi-century copy, could be victorian, one thing is for sure, i love them.

      HI

Just by the look at the way in which the faces, flowers and overall decoration has been painted, more than likely of German origin as they were absolute masters. Check the base carfefully for incised, embossed or impressed marks as it may indeed by marked. If there is not discernable country of origin, then pre 1891 for sure.

Also, search using the German keywords "drei grazien porzellan" and check if one of them looks like your piece. It's a nice piece, by the way.
