Inherited from my great-aunt, I don't really know any details about how this mini-tray made its way from Ireland to Montreal. If only I'd asked more questions --although I already have a reputation for being curious. There's a good chance that Padraig of Blarney isn't listed anywhere on the internet, but my guess would be that he made this copper tray in the 1950's or 1960's. Then again, it could well be older than this.

Hello RitaA, this copper dish was made by my father in the 1960s. He had a small whitewashed gallery/shop in Blarney village at that time.

Hello Nisea! Thank you so very much for sharing this information. As much as I value your father's creation, I would be more than happy to mail it to you if you are interested in keeping it in the family. I'm not sure how we would go about doing that, however perhaps the moderator could make a suggestion because I don't want to invade your privacy in any way whatsoever. Sincerely, Rita
