Here is a recent find of mine that it seems some of you may enjoy as well as the story behind it. An old store had closed down and the contents on the shelves lay there untouched for over 20 years. The owners of the property then decided to remove and get rid of the stuff they had. The price is shown on them being 15 cents each.
About a dozen of the kites have never been used. The shape they are in is nearly perfect. They all have a bunch of different designs and colors on them. A roll of Hi-Flier kite string is also part of the bunch.
These kites seem so thin and breakable I am not sure how they even handled one gust of wind let alone a big one. Apparently they did okay because many of these were sold as well as being very popular for a while.
Thanks for looking as always my friends and please have a blessed day! : )

I flew these kites when I was a kid. They were very durable. They could be patched. The most popular ones were the Hi Flyer Man in theMoon kites usually 3 stick type /5 sides. Many times when we did not have 10 cents for a kite we made our own using newspaper. In the spring March april and may were the months when everyone would be flying kites. You would see them everywhere. Kids had so much fun with nothing but, marbles, tops ,yoyo's,jacks, kites balsa gliders and paper folded airplanes.
