I know that certin things here are not orig. from feedback i have gotten - pickguard was not there orig. Bridge is not orig, or tuning pegs.
The closet i think i've seen in an example is a style 1- 21 from when I have no idea - I've looked with a mirror at writing on the underside of the soundhole but there are only two X markings. There's writing at the bottom of the sound hole to the left of the martin New York and co. stamp. it says 334171 and right under this number with a line directly under it (as if a "divided by" line) it it says 311 then below that it says 411 under a bracing.
The case was not orig and was not a coffin case where im guessing the style and year were, instead its a less sturdy case from the 1940's.
Any ideas on style year etc, would be great.
Thanks!
