Does anyone know how to tell if this set is real? It has a screw closure. Earrings are clip on and the beads are glass. Thank you for any help you can give me.

Hello,
Your piece looks like a Vintage Venetian Millefiore Pendant, of very nice quality!
Millefiore means "Thousand Flowers", each little section is made up from a different slice of a cane of glass. The technique is hundreds of years old and these pieces were popular in the 70's. Sets of beads with millefiore can be found occasionally on ebay, for about 45 - 75.00. I have never seen a pendant like yours. the screw-bail is common and should look like old brass. I would estimate a starting bid of 50.00 for this piece, but it may take a while to sell, since the shape is unique :) I collect antique venetian glass beads, but I primarily collect new Lampwork Glass ArtBeads, made in the same tradition but much more detailed....ranging in price from 25.00 a set on up to several hundred. These contemporary beads are being mass produced in China, buyer beware. Your pendant is probably genuine Italian as I described, due to the quality. I forgot about matching earrings - you should show them in your listing - add another 25.00 and do a reserve (minimum bid) if you choose to sell this item.

p.s. the chain is also of very nice quality. :)
