The whole house is shingled and right below the little window where the bird comes out are four Hummel-like figures of children that go round and round when the music plays. The face is roman numeral and the hands are wooden. There are three brass pine-cone shaped weights and a pendulum with a rose pattern on the outside rim of it. On the back of the clock is gold plate that says "Original Masterpiece CCC Triberg" On the side of the clock is a metal plate that on the left side reads "Wren Bazaar", a symbol of a building of some sort that says Big Ben under it, and the name of G. Burger and then on the right side it says "Made with love member of the Cuckoo Collectors Club Triberg". Please see the pictures attached. If anyone has any information on it, please let me know, my email is sdillard8@gmail.com. Thank you very much!

I don't collect Cuckoos but I can see that this clock must sound fantastic with the dual bird whistles and that large, coiled cathedral bell. Is there a Cuckoo Collectors Club (CCC) member in the house?

Hello again!! Wow, it's been 4 years since I last posted on this site! Time flies!! Anyway, I'm actually in England now and was so excited to find that my cuckoo clock was still with me, after being in storage for over 4 years in North Carolina! To be honest, I thought I either lost it or sold it. Fortunately, neither had happened. I've actually been to Germany a few times looking for a replacement, but never found a suitable one. Can you can imagine my pleasure when I found it packed away? It's in generally OK condition, but in obvious need of some TLC, something I plan to do very soon. It runs and cuckoo's, but the music box doesn't shut off when it should. No worries, I've just disconnected that weight for now. Lol. Cheers for reading!!

I was stationed in Germany between 1990 - 1993 and the CCC was sort of a consortium of clock makers in Triberg that joined together to make very special Cuckoo Clocks. I bought several and the major difference was that each part of the CCC clocks was hand-carved and the people rotating around were also hand-carved (not like the ones bought from the orient with slanted eyes). The CCC clocks were the premium clocks available vs. the tourist clocks sold in places like The House of Clocks and others. I was later stationed in Brussels 1998 - 2001 and was sad to find that the CCC consortium had broken down and was no longer making clocks :( If you have one, and it looks like one to me, then you have a very special clock, in my humble opinion. I have no idea where you would find a legitimate appraisal. Cheers!

I also have a CCC clock from Triberg Germany. Purchased from Big Ben store in 1995 or so (no longer in business). However my clock is a Regulator style clock. It’s still running great and been a great clock. The most beautiful chime of all my clocks. I wish I knew how to post a photo.

I have a question though. I removed the movement for service and see it’s marked “Edmund Hefele”. I was told the movement was a Kenniger movement when I purchased it. Does anyone know about what a Edmund Hefele movement is. I searched the Internet and find a Edmund Hefele from Germany who made clocks; primarily Grandfather clocks. Could this movement be a Kenniger with Edmund Hefele name on it.

Update: Soontobedba! My Regulator clock also has the same brass CCC plate as your cuckoo! Also has CCC stenciled on the face, above the shaft the hands mount to.

Pretty cool to find someone else who has a Big Ben CCC clock from Triberg Germany. A friend of mine I worked with in Germany also has one! We purchased them at the same time.

We have a 28 year old CCC clock that we bought in Triberg in 1991. Anybody know where I can get is serviced in the UK? (it never has been). It keeps good time but makes strange sounds when chiming/cuckooing!
I might even consider shipping it to Triberg except I note that CCC is no longer trading. HELP!

I can't help you with the UK but if all else fails then check out the place that I had my CCC clock serviced with a older guy that goes by the name Papa in Tennessee, US for $319.00 US. I had my clock serviced by Papa over a year ago now and it has never missed a beat since its return - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Papa services clocks in the order they are received so it took about 8 months after I shipped my clock but it returned in outstanding condition. You might also need to discuss Overseas shipping with him if you consider his services.

The URL for his service and prices is below:

Thanks but postage and insurance to USA will be a lot more than sending it to Germany. I may have found a guy with 30 years experience in the UK that will do the job.

Happy to hear you have found local service. Maybe the link will be helpful to others searching the forum with similar issues. Good luck!
