My 9 year old brought this home from his grandparents this week also. It is Vol 1 of Crabbe's Tales, a book of poetry by Rev George Crabbe. The binding is in pretty rough shape. Any info about this book is appreciated

Wow, nice one! First edition was printed in London 1812, so this is a very early reprint. What makes this awesome though is that is was printed in the USA instead of Great Britain. And it still has its original binding, although in rough shape. Are you sure it's only vol I? Maybe vol II is within that book too? Or maybe the missing volume still lies somewhere at the Grandparents' place?
thank you so much for the info ulfsurfer, it is just Volume 1, volume 2 isnt in this book. Need to send Jacob back to mam's to look for it lol
