I can remember this cute Blue & White Windmill Tea Set in my Grandparents Dining Room when I was young. I received these after they passed away. There are 3 pieces - a tea pot, creamer, & sugar bowl. On the bottom there are only 4 words - Made in Occupied Japan. No dates or other printing are visible. Can anyone tell me where they might have gotten these, or what the exact manufacturing date might be?

Figurines or china with "Made in occupied Japan" stamped on them means they were made in Japan between August 1945 and April 1952. When Japan was forced to surrender in World War II, the Allied countries, under the command of Gen. MacArthur of the U.S. Army, occupied the country and took over its government. Occupation officially ended in 1952, when a peace treaty signed by Japan and 48 other nations went into effect. After the occupation, the products simply bore the words, "Made in Japan."
