This is a 7oz 7Up bottle. As far as my research shows, this particular 7Up logo is ***1950's*** (see comment section) 1939/40 ish. This bottle was produced in Detroit, MI.

You might want to look at this site, it might help.

Thanks for the tip! I was definitely off. It's funny though. Based on this, the front is dated 1936-1939 and the back is dated 1940-1946, possibly as late as 1948. So my guess is that it's around 1939 or 1940, based on the discrepancy of the dates for the front and back images.

    Good Evening,
yeah this piece is from the 70's where did you get your info?

The user in the comment section provided a link that led me to the conclusion that it is late 30's or early 40's. To me, it appears earlier than 70's. The text on the back, number of bubbles on the front, etc appear to be consistent with a bottle produced in the late 30's or early 40's according to the information in the link that appear to be credible. However, I have found little other information.

This bottle is not from the 1970's. The girl in the swimsuit and seven bubbles was used during app. the 1939-53 time period, Shortly after that the girl was removed and the seven bubbles remained.

Pretty sure the bottle has the date on the bottom. There should be an Anchor Hocking mark in the center of the bottom. (Anchor with H over it) . Mine has 51 which means 1951. It is the number to the right of the AH mark. Mine also has the seven bubbles and the girl. I forgot the link I got that info from but it was a soda bottle link and that is how I dated all my 7-up bottles.
Packrat is right, this is much earlier than the 70's

It doesn't have the anchor, it says Duraglas, has a logo that resembles Saturn, and various numbers (g-94, 3, 47, and 20). So the number that makes most sense is 47.

The embossed Duraglas script was used by Owens-Illinois Glass Co. from 1940 up into the mid 1950's. Is the logo that you say resembles Saturn actually an O over a diamond with and I in the center?

You can check out my posting for my Old Overholt Whiskey bottle. I have a good picture of the Owens-Illinois mark I mentioned. For further identification of glass marks check out this sight, I have found it to be very helpful for researching.

That's the one! Sorry, it's hard for me to see some of the details on bottles when they're textured. Thanks for the info and the link!

Your welcome. That site also has links to the actual bottle companies so you can research even further. And you had me up all night looking at my bottles again because the first time I was checking them I hadnt even noticed the Anchor Hocking mark on my 7-up bottle (the 7 oz'er). It was so faint I missed it.
