Would love to know more about this book! It is written in an early German dialect and is hard to try and translate. It seems to be a book packed full of prints and poetry. Some of the prints look like are made to be removed from the book and framed. I Picked it up from a Garage sale in Ohio and have no idea what it could be, i loved the prints in the book and would like to know more about it.

Thaks Packrat! Does anyone know anyplace near cincinnati that could examine it and tell me what i have? Or if i could take more pictures and send to someone that may tell me what i may have.

In German it is "Unsere Kunst", published by Hermann Michels Verlag in Dusseldorf, 2nd edition. It seems to be printed around 1890-1900. Only one copy (4th edition) is for sale currently and the seller is asking ~$92. You made a nice find!

Actually i am a reeanactor, that is one of the units i portray, i collect mostly firearms but dabble in a little of everything, even had my own shop for awhile. You can see my reenacting group here http://www.ovcwa.com (Ohio Valley Civil War Association)

Sorry about my late reply. Actually I found many more copies out there, ranging between $30-330 depending on condition and edition number. Go to http://www.vialibri.net and type in "unsere kunst" under 'title' and "michels" under 'imprint' and you'll see the whole list. Your copy looks very fresh and early so it stands better than most of these other copies.
