I found this in a box of junk years ago.
    Is it a salesmans sample?
    It is made of steel
Not sure why I hung onto it, just a novelty.
    Anybody know.
    Thanks

Well..............a salesman's sample was a scale model of an item to big for a salesman to carry around. You are showing a miniature shingle hammer. It was used for shake shingles. I doubt very seriously this was a salesman's sample. Perhaps it was a part of a toy kit or made as a gift for a salesman.

If you ever used one you would know this one IS NOT what you want to cut and lay shakes. It is more than interesting for a collectible.

      fhrjr2,
thank you for solving my little mystery. kinda cute.
I wouldn't want to lay any shingles. Very hard work.
