Got this from a friend the other day. I think it could be from the 1800, possible a Monet? Didn't the women place a lock of hair in brooches too show mourning? I really don't know I wish someone could tell me a little about it.

I think this is a mourning pin from the mid 1800s. You might want to research that time. I am not sure what you mean by Monet? Is there hair in both lockets?
sad but beautiful. Odd it looks like only one spot is filled? and no memorium for whoevers hair is in there. interesting piece indeed.
