Coca-Cola matchbooks are still very easy to collect as well as very affordable. Most can be bought for around a few dollars each and since there are so many variations, they make for a great display. Along with these framed matchbooks, I also have a few others not shown plus complete books with matches still intact.

I have a question, how would you protect matchbooks from tearing or discoloring?
What can i buy to protect the matchbooks that i have. Some are pretty old any advice would be appreciated. I have thought about plastic sleeves but they move around and i would like to put inside a big binder or i really do not know what do, Thanks for listening and reading my rebelling on about it.
I love your collection , thank you for sharing.

I see these often come up on eBay, always thought they were cool, but wondered how on earth they could be displayed. Now I know. That's a great looking piece for hanging. Again, learning from The Masters. Nice Collection, TGBWC!

bratjdd: I display most of my vintage paper items in clear plastic sleeves. They're top loaders and made out of rigid plastic that doesn't bend easily. As in the case of my matchbooks, I don't really care if the actual matches are still attached, as they're pretty generic. It's the colorful matchbook itself that appeals to me.

This company: http://www.columbiasportsonline.com/c-279-toploaders.aspx sells all kinds of displays as well as the top loader plastic sleeves, in all sizes. So if you buy the small 4" x 6" sizes, I think that would work for matchbooks. They might even have smaller sizes.

Another display option is to purchase those cotton-lined display boxes with a glass top. These come in all sizes and some are sectioned off. You see dealers at antique shoes using these to display buttons, coins...I don't have an exact source, but I'm sure you can find them with a google search.

    And thanks Dave and Bernie.
