I found this interesting item at an estate sale and don't really know what it is. It looks like a sugar bowl (although it's oval), but could it also be a gravy boat? Also, believe it or not, someone had actually painted a good portion of the bottom with white paint as if the beautiful drips going around to the bottom were done in error! I still haven't gotten all the paint off. Does anyone happen to know what this is and possibly the maker or pattern? Thank you!
