What do you mean it's found at the entrance of the company's HQ in NYC?
Maybe on display in the lobby of Coke HQ, NY, NY?
1909 medium oval, right. I believe there was a larger, even rarer version. I've been dabbling in tip trays lately. These early serving trays are way cool... and way expensive! Thanks for sharing. Is it yours? We're interested in hearing more.
This actually is a relatively easy to find tray of the earlier trays. It is only rare in Nm or better condition. The large version is actually considered rare. You will probably see maybe 20 of these for every one of the large ones.
Thank you for your comments.
@earlycoke: I dont know if its not that rare, I have been looking for long time online and the only item I found is a repro of the same tray at mid 70s. So I supposed that it must be rare... In any case I feel happy we possess this item in the family. :-)
@Daddy_Nobucks: Yes, on display lobby of Coke NY. I discovered this tray at the attic of my grandmothers home in the countryside. It was found among other personal belongings of my grand father, when he left America (mid 30s) and came back to Greece for good.
I agree you are fortunate to have this tray. It's nice to have something so special passed down in the family. Great story! Thanks again for sharing.
