Antiquing in Central Virginia this weekend, I found this extraordinarily large vase by Josef Knížek at the Antonienhuette glass factory at Ullersdorf (near Teplitz). The designer was Maximilian Boudnik. The last photo represents the wide range of sizes that these pieces came in. The tall piece from this weekend is nearly 13 inches tall. The bottom half is 8 inches wide. The smaller piece is just over 2 inches tall. Both shapes are documented and on display at the Glasmuseum Passau in Germany. They were made between 1900 and 1910.
