Last Saturday I went to a sale and bought a large box of miscellaneous ephemera for $3.00. As I started going through the box this morning, I received quite a surprise.
I found this great 1924, 124 page Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Combined Shows and Daily Review magazine, price 15 cents.
This is packed full of vintage ads and great pics of the circus. Aside from a cover tear and some cover wear it is in great condition, the inside pages are excellent.

These magazines seem to have been running through the 20s and 30s, but are hard to find today. Super-nice find!

I found one from '27 for $50, '28 for $60 and '29 for $75, and one claiming to be from '23 for $85. Not many copies out there though, as I already have mentioned.

Benking, I searched on http://www.vialibri.net and found those copies listed at the large bookselling networks such as abebooks, biblio and alibri. It's the best book/paper/print searching tool out there I think.

What a find! GREAT piece!! And a beautiful cover! I collect Magic and Circus posters, this magazine is rare, not many of them survived. I would estimate the current value at around $200. Not bad for 3 bucks.
