This is a really interesting little jug. Little? How tall is it?
Are there any marks at all?
Remember 'no marks' suggests in some cases pre-1881.
I reckon it is earlier than Deco.
It might well be from the 1870's onwards.
Deco reworked many of the ideas of "Christopher Dresser" and the "Aesthetic Movement".
You're right this is a very cool piece!
ill get measurements for you. i didnt know this could be earlier:) and no markings at all.
a little under 5.5 inches tall and 2.5 inches in diameter in the opening where the lid is supposed to be , 2.5 inches in widest point on the very bottom.
