I picked up some mission style chairs today and the sellers tried to sell me the trunk. So instead of selling it to me they offered it to me in the deal. Well now I own a large steamer armoire. If anyone has any information on it, it would be very helpful. I see no makers marks and the small suitecase from the floor is missing. Everything else inside looks to be ok.

What you have here is a wardrobe trunk. It looks like it would have been made around 1930 or so. It has a vulcanized coating, which is paper bonded to plywood or pine. There were many makers of these, and without a label chances are you will not be able to identify one. They are fun decorative pieces. Some can be very ornate. Yours would be a standard model offered by many manufacturers of the day. Not a whole lot of monetary value, but certainly worth something. I have had a few over the years -- they work well in corners opened up for display purposes. Have fun with it!!
