Had this to treasure for many years.

But can't remember what it is.

Nor by which co? Or artist?

Can you tell the 3d's as what?

    Myth?

    The glass is till emaculate.

I don't dare take it out.

    Ornate glass?

    Hand made glass?

    The metal is what?

    There is a number.

But can't read as my eyes are so old
what seems to be a hallmark inside one foot!
    Can you guess?

    Is this Victorian?
    How old maybe?

    American?

    Russian?

    France?

    England?

    Or?

    Help please...

It is called an Epergne. need to see the marks to get an idear as to maker etc.

This is a single flute epergne in what appears to be a silverplate holder.

Epergnes were very popular during the Victorian era.

Marks on the silverplate holder may help to date it.

The glass certainly looks to be from the Victorian era as well and probably glows under a black light.

      Thansk OZ!

But I can read the marks, except: 597.

      Does that help you?

      Thanks Scott!

You think that the flute GLOWS maybe under black light?

Try taking a photo of the marks and them enlarging it on your computer
