This was left to me from my father inlaw who collected old firearms.
Engraved on the side is: PORTO and more that i cant make out. and 1779
I know there's a conflict with dates, but i'm pretty sure its "1779"
There has never been a question as to its authenticity. only its exact age, maker and origin.
There are 2 side by side fancy scroll "RR"S below the crown.
