I bought this at a garage sale a while back. It is a wooden box with a metal box inside of it. There are also wheels on the bottom. I was told for it was storing ash and coal from fireplaces. The outside of the box is a hammered copper plate with a really detailed folk scene. I have no idea how much it is worth, what exactly it is called, and most importantly where the heck I can get it restored in San Diego.
