This trench art frame is for the Royal Air Force (RAF) and dates from the end of WW1.
The RAF was founded on 1 APR 1918, when the Royal Flying Corps (RFC) and Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS) were consolidated under one Headquarters.
The frame has an early painted RAF symbol on wood that has been inlay into the larger frame.
Thanks for looking.
