This is a tin toy cannon with original, but faded red paint. There are no marks as to the brand. The shooting mechanism is double barreled with spring loaded pistons. You turn a crank that pulls the pistons back in order to fire the cannon. Don't tell my son, but this will be his birthday present (when I am finished playing with it). If anyone knows anything about this toy, please let me know!

I won't tell your son.....................however I have a birthday soon. Beautiful find. Thanks for sharing. I spent many hours in the hall at school because of my love of pea shooters.
I graduated to a sling shot and believe it or not my mother (now 88 years old) just sent me the first slingshot I ever made. She is cleaning the attic and distributing things better left alone. I didn't think that little address book was still around. My wife actually believes those numbers beside the names were the bus route the gal took to school. Good thing she doesn't know there was only one bus.
Thanks fhrjr2! I just love this and it still flings peas very well. Have a happy birthday, hope you receive some cool toys too!
love it. i have the pea shooter gun
Thanks, everyone! I need to go buy more dried peas, then I can give peas a chance.
