Good Evening, Dear Friends,
I bought this about a year ago at an estate sale. Thinking that I had to justify the purchase, I decided it would be a gift for my brother Frank. Truth is I'd fallen in love with it, and even though I didn't think that I should own it, I wanted it in the family. My brother's the best of men, a good soul that loves the outdoors, ( and hunting ) , so giving it to him seemed like the perfect decision.
Well, he thought that it was too fine and beautiful for him to keep, felt that he couldn't display it as it deserved,......so it sits within my sight, in my own room, with only me to adore it.
I don't know anything about it. Thought it might be Bohemian. When I purchased it the woman told me that it was from the ' Czech Restoration ' period,......does that make any sense?
The engraving is tender, and beautiful.
The portholes on the other side of the glass are cut to clear, another photo would've shown that.
It's 6 3/4 mighty inches high.
Do you suppose that it is Bohemian?, any guesses as to who the maker might be?,...and the age of it?
Thanks,
Tonino

Thanks Stef. Have a good night's sleep.
Really nice cup/pokal.
Love the scene.
Did she mean Czech National Revivalist, I wonder?
But that is another movement.
It is certainly a tribute to the work of Dominik Biemann (1800-1857) Harrachovské sklárny, Nový Svet v Krkonosich.
That base suggests a later date to me.
