...and I find far more mopeds than early motorcycles, so why not collect, repair and ride them?!

I belong to a circle of serious moped aficionados in PA and surrounding states. We were around in the 70's and 80's when gas crisis days made car lots & local bicycle shops sell these things to people wanting to conserve gas. Unfortunately, most of them ended up being passed down to children and grandchidren that thrashed them. There is a neat little place in history for these vehicles.

My moped family and I can ID almost any form of moped related stuff made from the 1950's to present day. We are constantly on the hunt for Holy Grail and killer moped picks, and often enjoy trading more than laying out cash for the stuff we like. I'm never opposed to buying a whole heap of stuff to get what I want. Watching the neighbors as I drag home another trailer load of stuff can get interesting.

When I was a kid growing up in London, I had a Yamaha SS (FS1E). It was a 50cc moped, but it was styled like a moter bike. SS stood for Sixteener Special, as you could ride a moped at 16, but had to be 17 to rise a motor bike. Nice collection you have.
