Hello and thank you for taking a look.
This snuff bottle is ivory carved. It is in the Qing dynasty dating somewhere between 16th century to early 19th century. I believe this actual carving was in the late 20's to early 30's.
It is elephant ivory or maybe even manmoth tusk! The story on it is of a man and his best friend interested inthe same woman". Not sure though. I guess that's the fun part. Finding out what it really means. There are certain marking believe to be of good luck and prosperous. It is very well detailed and has very little ink. It is 31/2" tall and 21/2 wide. It has a tusk made spoon and is in incredible condition.
