I bought this a number of years ago from a Church thrift shop. It came from an old Cape Cod estate. At the same time I picked up an old rolling pin, one dating from whaling days, with Scrimshaw at both ends.
This piece is glorious, with lush color, with a draped pattern in a clear glass cased(?) over a rose to white glass, with an amber cast to the clear fringe edge,
....just the over-all shape of it, it's beautiful, as if it's in full flower.
Any idea who the maker might be? Could it even be Sandwich glass?( a local company from many years ago )
Thank You for any comments you might make,
and have a great week-end everyone!,
Tony.

Blush, mother of pearl, satin, Drape Pattern, peach blow?:
Wheeling, Mt Washington?
A very interesting vase.
WOW!, Thanks V,
It all makes sense, I feel the blush, the pearl, the satin, the drape, and the peach blow,.......oddly enough similar thoughts, words, feelings, all came to mind as I was writing the description.
And Mt. Washington makes sense as well, as it was closely affiliated with the 'Pairpoint' glass company, which was based on Cape Cod,( where I live ).
I'm going to write a song about you, ( I'll throw in a few other names too!), you're amazing.
Shake off the funk and have a great week-end,
tipping my hat to you from beautiful New England,
Tony.
Beautiful vase!
Scott
Thanks for commenting, Scott!
Have a great week,
Tony.
